Northwest Lotto winner finally collects cheque

A lotto player from the North West collected their cheque for 8-point-2-million euro at the national lottery headquarters today.
The player, who wishes to remain anonymous, bought the normal play ticket in the ‘XL Shop-n-Stop’ on Stephen’s Street in Sligo on the 5th of March.
The Lotto jackpot, which had been rolling over since the 27th of January, is the biggest ever win in county Sligo.
However, it’s not the first Lotto win for the retailer, Matt Lyons, whose shop also sold a 4-point-3-million euro winning ticket in 2009.
