Anthony Molloy to receive Freedom of Donegal

Anthony Molloy
Former Donegal captain Anthony Molloy will be rewarded with the Freedom of Donegal for his work as an ambassador for the county and for his contributions to the Gaelic games.
Molloy famously led Donegal to their first ever All-Ireland Championship in 1992, as well winning the Ulster Championship.  He was also part of the Ulster winning sides of 1983 and 1990.
The Ardara native will be the first person to receive the award for their work in GAA.
The ceremony will take place in the Country House in Lifford on Tuesday at 6pm.
Previous recipients include Irish Olympic Team Manager Patsy McGonagle and International goalkeepers Shay Given and Packie Bonner.
