Sommer Lecky into Euro High Jump Final as Arlene Crossan qualifies in 400 Hurdles

There’s more good news coming from the European Youth Athletics Championships in Tbilisi where Arlene Crossan and Sommer Lecky have made it through the opening rounds of the High Jump and 400m hurdles.
Castlederg girl Lecky has qualified for Sunday’s final of the High Jump.
Sommer was one of nine to hit the qualifying mark of 1.78.
Arlene Crossan produced a quality performance to qualify from her heat in the 400m hurdles.
Her time of 61.76 seconds saw her finish second behind a Czech Republic athlete.
Arlene can now look forward to a semi final tomorrow.
Later on today, Janine Boyle goes in the heats of the 200m and Lifford/Strabane’s Brendan O’Donnell goes in the final of the hammer.
