The late Brian Friel will be commemorated at the 2016 MacGill Summer School this weekend when the Arts Council stage a series of events dedicated to the playwright’s legacy.
This year, two additional days are being added to the MacGill programme to commemorate some of Friel’s best work.
Director of the Arts Council, Orlaith McBride says in many ways it’s fitting the commemoration should take place during the highly acclaimed event:
