A garda investigation has been launched following an overnight incident at a house in the Long Lane area of Letterkenny in which a man in his 40s was stabbed.
Gardai have confimed the man’s injuries are not life threatening.
Gardai in Letterkenny are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Earlier, staff members were threatened with a meat cleaver in an aggravated burglary at the Checkout Store. A man was subsequently arrested by a passing detective garda.

A short time ago, 21 Darren Quigley from Carlow appeared in court in Longford charged with robbery in connection with yesterday’s incident.
A bail hearing is taking place this afternoon.
