Daryl Gurney wins opener at World Grand Prix

Derry’s Daryl Gurney progressed to round two of Dart’s World Grand Prix in Dublin on Monday night.
He beat last years semi finalist Mensur Suljovic 2-1 at the City West Centre.
Gurney, who is ranked 28th in the world, will play Steve West on Wednesday evening in the next stage.
West is 52nd in the PDC rankings and had a surprise 2-1 win over 11 time world champion Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor.
