There’s good news for driver Craig Breen this morning.
The 26 year old Waterford man has confirmed that he will race for the next two seasons with Citroen on the World rally Championship circuit.
He has driven a Citroën DS 3 in four WRC rounds this year, claiming a maiden podium with third place in Finland and finishing fifth in Corsica last weekend.
Breen will alternate in the French manufacturer’s second car with Stephane Lefebvre for the early rounds of the 2017 Championship as the team enters two C3s. But Citroën Racing team principal Yves Matton said that would increase to three cars ‘as soon as possible’.
Happy to announce that me and Scott will be driving for @CitroenRacing in the WRC for the next two seasons! Thanks to everybody, what a day! pic.twitter.com/XKl8nvehaS
