A local Councillor has welcomed the commencement of the long awaited Convoy Sewerage Scheme.
Sinn Fein Councillor, Liam Doherty is urging both the local authority and Irish Water to ensure the prompt delivery of remedial drainage and sewerage works at local housing estates which it is planned will now be taken over by the authorities.
30,000 euro in funding has been allocated to two housing estates in Convoy which will be for the purpose of up-sizing foul drainage and associated works.
