Clarification is being sought from Management at Letterkenny University Hospital over the failure to advertise a vacant senior position in the Oncology Department.
It is understood a senior member of staff left two months ago but has not been replaced.
The issue has been raised by Senator Pádraig Mac Lochlainn who says this will inevitably put extra pressure on the Oncology Department.
He is seeking an official position from the hospital’s management on the issue:
