Tax defaulters in Donegal pay out over €750,000 according to latest figures

 

Settlements amounting to more than €750,000 were agreed with Revenue between July and September of this year in Donegal, according to the latest tax defaulters’ list.
Two Donegal tax defaulters were among the 64 nationwide who have been named in the latest figures.
E L McGettigan & Sons from Kilmacrennan, Co Donegal – which is now in liquidation – settled for €733,639.
The property developers were found to have underdeclared Corporation Tax and VAT following a Revenue Audit.
Meanwhile The Olde Castle Bar and Restaurant Donegal Ltd, 5 Wilson’s Creek, Rooseylongen in Donegal Town agreed a settlement of €38,118.55 for the underdeclaration of PAYE/PRSI and Corporation Tax.
The amount settled nationwide for the same period was almost €13 million which included tax, penalties and interest.
