A Donegal Councillor says national funding should be made available to enable the purchase of houses at Municipal District level.
Speaking at a Letterkenny M.D meeting this week, Cllr Ian McGarvey said an assessment of available housing stock should be carried out at a local level, and then funding sought to allow those houses to be purchased and allocated.
Officials say 17 houses have been identified within the district, and they will continue to monitor the market during 2018.
