The OPW has confirmed consultants have been appointed to examine details of Augusts floods and the recent events of last month at Burnfoot.
Following the review the agency say they will re-assess the possible options to manage the risks and economic viability of flood defences in the area.
However, Senator Padraig MacLochlainn has conveyed his concern that no funding has yet been allocated or no timescale set out for works to be undertaken.
He says the absence of Government commitment on the matter is not acceptable for the people of Burnfoot who are left in limbo………….
