Snow and ice has affected Donegal and the North West overnight with more wintry showers forecast throughout the morning.
A status yellow warning from Met Eireann remains in place.
Motorists are being advised to exercise extreme caution this morning and assume no road is ice free.
Forecaster with Met Eireann Arron Louch says while drier conditions are on the way later today, there is a strong chance rain forecast for tonight will turn to more snow and ice:
