While a number of organisations have already expressed an interest in locating to the now old courthouse building in Letterkenny, it’s understood that the local authority intend to use it going forward.
The future use of the council-owned building was brought to the fore at the latest of Letterkenny municipal district.
However, the Council has suggested that the buildings layout has the potential for exhibitions, ceremonial events while it could also be developed as a visitor attraction.
Mayor Cllr. Jimmy Kavanagh says its important that the right decision be made that will best serve the town going into the future:
