A meeting between Council officials and Irish Water is set to take place over sewerage concerns at Ballyliffen ahead of the Irish Open.
There have been ongoing issues with the sewerage plant in the village, particularly during the summer months with the plant reportedly working above full capacity, causing an unpleasant smell.
With thousands expected to descend on the village in July, Local Cllr Bernard McGuinness says the issue must be addressed as soon as possible:
