Public meetings across Donegal to discuss rejected LIS letters

A number of clinics have been organised to help people reply to Local Improvement Scheme rejection letters that were delivered across South West Donegal this week.
Mountcharles based councillor John Campbell has slammed Donegal County Council’s decision to reject a number of LIS applications as ineligible, depite informing councillors that further information would be sought on the applicants.
Cllr Campbell claims it now appears council engineers disingenuously told them that the outstanding applicants would get an opportunity to supply the additional information needed to qualify their applications, but the council this week have written to them rejecting all outstanding applications.
In response to the large volumes of constituents concerns Cllr. John Campbell and local Deputy Thomas Pringle have organised a number of clinics to help those whose LIS applications were rejected by the council.
The first meeting will be held in Thomas Pringle’s office, Killybegs this evening; in Mountcharles Community Centre tomorrow (Tuesday 20th); Wednesday 21st in Leghowney Hall; Thursday 22nd in the Bluestack Centre, Drimarone, and the Nesbitt Arms Hotel in Ardara with local community activist Liam Whyte on Friday 23rd. All clinics are 7pm to 9pm.
In announcing the meetings Cllr. Campbell assured people that himself and Deputy Pringle are available to help everyone, not just those they may have assisted to during the initial LIS application phase back in September.
