Donegal County Council is being urged to write to the Transport Minister requesting additional funding to deal with the condition of some of the roads in Donegal.
It follows reports that many of the county’s roads have deteriorated significantly after the cold snap, with some now deemed in a treacherous state.
The issue is to be raised at today’s sitting of Donegal County Council.
Cllr Gary Doherty has described the situation as a ‘crisis’ and says measures must be taken to address it:
