A motion is to come before Derry City and Strabane District Council this week, calling on the local authority to impress on the Department of Infrastructure, the importance of the A2 Buncrana Road as an economic driver for the entire North West region.
This is a major arterial route on which thousands of commuters from Donegal travel on on a daily basis.
