The Irish Natura Hill Farmers Association is urging progress on a Dail motion which would, if put into practice, go some way in addressing the fodder crisis.
The motion, which was passed last week, calls on the Government to immediately bring forward a hardship fund, a meal voucher scheme, low-cost loans as well as issuing balancing payments for outstanding schemes.
President of the INHFA Colm O’Donnell believes all Oireachtas members have dragged their heels on the crisis by not intervening sooner.
