Local short circuit racer Richard Kerr was in action at the world famous Assen circuit in Holland last weekend at the penultimate round of the British Superbike Championship (BSB).
It proved to be a difficult task after the First two practice sessions as Richard had major problems with bike set up and found himself well down the field in 26th and 31st positions respectively.
The team tried various changes to the Triumph but the fast flowing circuit was proving to be real difficult to find a decent set up and after qualifying, Richard found himself in a lowly 31st position on row eleven.
The problem that the team find themselves in is arriving at new circuits with zero data to work from and as it’s the only Triumph in the Supersport class everything is starting from scratch.
In Race One- Richard finished in 25th place in a field of 39 riders.
Race Two on Sunday proved to be the turning point of the weekend as Richard finally found a set up that seen him in the more familiar surroundings of the points and had a great race to finish in 15th position.
The final round of the series takes place at Brands hatch in two weeks time where Richard will be looking to finish the season on a high and possibly make that top ten.
