A Donegal Senator has hit out at the Taoiseach over comments he made about beef and the environment.
Last week, Leo Varadkar stated that he was eating less red meat in a bid to lessen the impact of climate change; however the stance has led to a major backlash from a number of rural TDs.
Some argue that the comments made were hugely damaging to the beef industry.
Senator Padraig MacLochlainn says given Fine Gaels approach to the industry over the years, the Taoiseach is being hypocritical and he should be trying to support struggling farming families instead:
