Over €100,000 sanctioned for four Donegal festivals

Dubai Duty Free Irish Open hosted by the Rory Foundation at Ballyliffin Golf Club, Co Donegal, Ireland.
Dubai Duty Free Arabian Night’s Party which was held on Friday 6th July in an Arabian inspired teepee on the grounds of Ballyliffin Lodge Hotel in Ballyliffin, Co Donegal. The party was hosted by Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of Dubai Duty Free and his wife Breeda and was attended by some of the world’s most prominent golfers including Rafa Cabrera-Bello. The evening consisted of a BBQ, music and several unusual entertainment acts including a falconry display, fire breathers and drummers. Guests also had the opportunity to be photographed in traditional Arabic dress and sample some traditional Arabic food.

The Government has sanctioned over €100,000 for four festivals in Donegal this year.
The financial support is being provided by Fáilte Ireland to enhance and promote events across the county.
Donegal International Rally is to receive €15,000; the Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival get €37,000; the Earagail Arts Festival get €35,000; and Sea Sessions get €20,000.
Education Minister Joe McHugh says the funding will be important to the festivals now to get preparatory work underway:
