There will be no change to Brexit backstop, says Tanaiste

 

A pragmatic solution to avoiding a hard border has not been suggested by opponents of the Brexit backstop.
That’s the view of the Tanaiste, who insists the Irish government’s position on it hasn’t changed.
The UK parliament will once again vote on the withdrawal plan this week.
Speaking to the BBC, Foreign Affairs Minister, Simon Coveney says the British Prime Minister is right to defend the Backstop:
