Hungary win for Campbell and McGlynn

Finn Harps players Conor Campbell and Luke McGlynn both started for the Republic of Ireland U15s who secured an impressive 3-0 victory over Hungary in the last of a three-game international friendly tournament in Spain today. The Irish were on top throughout the first half and it was Harps attacker Conor Campbell who went closest, but his low, powerful strike was palmed away by the Hungarian keeper Matyas Kiraly. Meanwhile, Luke McGlynn lined out in his usual midfield slot.
All three goals came after the break as Shamrock Rovers’ Ben Curtis and Bohemians duo Cian Kelly and Evan Ferguson scored for Jason Donohue’s side. The victory rounds of a successful week for the U-15s, who remained undefeated in normal time in the international tournament. Ireland drew against Netherlands and Spain earlier in the week – losing on penalties on both occasions. Luke McGlynn and Conor Campbell were members of Kevin McHugh’s Finn Harps U15 squad last year.
