Donegal TD hits out at Government over local Garda Station plans


A Donegal Deputy has hit out at the Government after revelations yesterday that the Garda stations in Kerrykeel, Kilmacrennan and Rathmullan are to be wound down.
It coincides with plans to redeploy staff from the three stations to district headquarters in Milford.
Much concern was expressed locally on the issue with Deputy Charlie McConalogue taking to the Dail last evening to challenge Minister David Staton on the Department’s position.
Deputy McConalogue accused the Minister of not taking the severity of the Government’s failure to allocate sufficient Garda resources to Donegal seriously.
He says told Minister Stanton that the Government’s inaction in providing resources for the county needs to stop:
