Mixed reaction to passing of controversial gaming motion


There’s been a mixed reaction to the passing of the controversial gaming motion in Letterkenny and Inishowen. 
Councillors in both Municipal Districts voted yesterday to allow the legalisation of gaming machines.
The vote and imminent change in by-law will give a green a light to slot machine operators in both areas, who had been restricted since the late 80s and early 90s.
Cllr Gerry McMonagle voted against the motion, he believes that the decision made is a huge step backwards:
