Cathal McCarron retires from inter county football

Tyrone’s Cathal McCarron has announced his retirement from inter-county football.
The former All-Star nominee suffered a serious knee injury during last July’s Super 8 win over Roscommon and has not featured for the Red Hand County since.
The corner back cites the recovery process and travelling from his current home in Kildare as the reasons for his retirement decision.
