EU leaders agree to extend Brexit until May 22nd


EU leaders have agreed to extend Brexit until May 22nd – the day before European elections start.
But it’s conditioned on the UK passing the withdrawal deal next month.
The delay is not as long as the UK leader had wanted, she was hoping for it to be put off until the end of June.
Speaking in Brussels Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has played down fears of a no deal Brexit – saying Britain can stop that:
