Council urged to refurbish Old Glenties courthouse site

 

Donegal County Council is being urged to explore all options with a view towards restoring the former Glenties Courthouse site.
The property, which has been lying vacant for some time, is understood to require some refurbishment works in order to make it fit to be re-occupied.
It’s believed that the cost of carrying out these remedial works is in the region of €80,000.
Sinn Féin local election candidate Brian Carr says the building is steeped in history, having being built in the 1840s, and it’s vital the local authority realise its potential sooner rather than later:
