Donegal County Council has been told that changes in the way Ten-T routes are selected will not delay the process, and planning continues on schedule.
Members were to have adopted the preferred routes at a meeting last evening, but that changed legal advice received by the council indicated that the decision is an Executive Function, and lies in the hands of officials rather than members.
Members will get their say when the new council is asked the amend the County Development Plan later in the year to reflect the preferred routes.
