Man due in court over attempted hijacking

 

A 49 year old man is due in Derry Magistrates Court this morning, charged with attempted hijacking, attempted robbery and a number of motoring charges.
The charges are in connection with an incident in the Ballymagroarty area of Derry/Londonderry during the early hours of yesterday morning.
At around 12.50am, police received a report of a man entering the driver’s seat of a car whilst a female and two children were present.
The woman and children were unharmed.
