There are renewed calls for works to the water supply in Burnfoot to be fast tracked as a matter of urgency.
It follows a burst to the supply yesterday, the fourth in the space of a week.
As park of planned works by Irish Water, it intends to facilitate Letterkenny with water from the Eddie Fullerton Dam which will run through the same pipe network which has suffered the bursts.
The utility also plans to replace over 4pm of pipes on the affected network, after works take place in Letterkenny.
