It’s emerged that three youths broke into the Aura Leisure Centre in Letterkenny overnight.
The incident occurred at approximately 11.30pm last night – entry was gained by breaking a fire exit door however it’s been confirmed that nothing was stolen.
The pool section of the facility was closed for a time this morning to facilitate a forensic examination.
Cllr Gerry McMonagle described the incident as ‘wanton vandalism’ and is appealing to anyone with information to contact Gardai:
