Police operation in Derry now ended

A police operation in the Northland Road area of Derry has now ended.
Part of the area was closed off for a time earlier following the discovery of a suspected firearm.
Chief Inspector Jonathan Hunter has confirmed that the road has now re-opened and a pellet gun has been taken away for further forensic examination.
