DUP leader Arlene Foster has said that her party would “look at” a time limited backstop.
The proposal would put a deadline on the backstop arrangement required by the EU to avoid a hard border in Ireland.
It comes as opposition leaders in the UK meet today to discuss how to stop a no-deal Brexit.
