Renewed calls for end to dual pricing in insurance industry


 
There’s been renewed calls for the end of dual pricing in the insurance industry.
It’s when people can be charged different rates for the same cover, and has been described as a cosy cartel operation.
The Central Bank is due before an Oireachtas Committee this afternoon to discuss the issue.
Sinn Féin’s Finance Spokesman and Donegal Deputy Pearse Doherty says there has to be action to tackle rising insurance premiums:
