All roads on council’s Gritting Programme will be treated tonight

 

Donegal County Council has confirmed all roads on its gritting programme will be treated from 5pm this evening.
Questions were asked at the lack of gritters last night after freezing conditions posed serious problems for motorists and this morning.
The council says the extent of last night’s freeze was not forecast, and therefore gritting vehicles were not deployed until this morning.
