23-year-old man charged in connection with Essex lorry deaths

A 23-year-old Co Armagh man has been charged in connection with the Essex lorry deaths.
39 people were discovered in the back of a refrigerated truck in the UK last month.
23-year-old Christopher Kennedy was arrested in Buckinghamshire on Friday afternoon and is due to appear before Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow Monday 25th November.
Meanwhile, 15 of the 16 migrants found in the back of a Lorry on a ferry to Rosslare last Thursday are no longer in State care.
They all sought international protection which is effectively seeking refugee status when they arrived here.
They were accommodated in a Dublin direct provision centre, but they were free to leave their accomodation.
Gardai have confirmed the 16th member of the group however is a juvenile who has now been taken into the care of the child and family agency, Tusla.
