GLAS must be reopened to 2,000 AEOS farmers – McConalogue

 

Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Charlie McConalogue, says the Minister for Agriculture must allow over 2,000 farmers in the Agri-Environment Options Scheme to gain entry to the Green, Low-Carbon, Agri-Environment Scheme.
It follows figures which show that there are 2,117 farmers in the country who had contracts in the AEOS Scheme that ceased on 31 December 2018.
