Works leave road to Malin Head in ‘an unacceptable state’

 

The Cathaoirleach of the Inishowen Municipal District has hit out over the state the main road to Malin Head was left in by Irish Water following recent works.
Councillor Martin McDermott has described the resurfacing of the road by contractors employed by the utility as nothing short of a disgrace.
The Inishowen Area Manager for Roads and Transportation has confirmed that the reinstatement of the Malin Head Road is not being accepted and Irish Water have too confirmed that the road has been reinstated temporarily, pending permanent reinstatement by the contractor.
Councillor McDermott says it appears to be one rule for some parts of the county and another for Inishowen:
