The downward turn in the numbers of people awaiting beds in Irish hospitals continues, but Letterkenny University Hospital has bucked the trend.
There were eight people awaiting in-patient beds at LUH this morning, five of them on Emergency Department trolleys. That’s up five on yesterday’s figure, and the second highest figure in the state today.
Nationally, the INMO says 64 admitted patients were waiting for beds in Irish hospitals this morning, the highest number, 9, at University Hospital Kerry.
