Irish Water comes under fire over no plans for south Inishowen

 

There’s anger in south Inishowen following confirmation from Irish Water that it has no plans to upgrade the water supply there.
The peninsula suffers frequent water outages which in turn impacts a significant number of homes and businesses regularly.
However Irish Water has stated that it will not be prioritising a full upgrade for the area but has committed to fixing bursts when they happen.
Local Cllr Jack Murray has described that response as an insult to the community:
