Harte’s Louth drawn with Offaly in Leinster Championship


Mickey Harte’s first Championship game in charge of Louth will be against Offaly in the first round in Leinster.
The draw for the first round and Quarter Finals in the Leinster Senior Football Championship was made this morning and the if the former Tyrone manager gets his side through their opening tie, a last eight fixture with Kildare awaits.
Dublin will begin their quest for a seventh successive All-Ireland Football title against either Wexford or Wicklow.
Dessie Farrell’s side will go into that quarter-final having won the last 10 titles in-a-row.
The other quarter-finals will see Meath against either Carlow or Longford and there’s an all Midlands clash of Laois and Westmeath.
Mayo will begin the defence of their Connacht football title with a quarter-final against Sligo.
Leitrim await the winners of that match in the semi-finals.
The other semi pits Galway against Roscommon.
The Ulster draw will take place this evening after 6pm.
