A Derry City and Strabane Councillor says the Department for Infrastructure must prioritise the high incidence of flooding in Strabane, and take action to ensure that scenes seen at the weekend at Pearse Gardens, Ballycolman, Koram Square, Bridge Street and parts of Lisnafin are not repeated.
Cllr Michaela Boyle says the floods were caused in many cases by blocked drains, and the DFI needs to be more proactive in ensuring the drains are clear and there are no obstacles.
Cllr Boyle says a review of the entire network is needed to see if there are structural problems that need to be addressed…
