The number of people receiving the Pandemic Unemployment Payment in Donegal continues to drop.
Nationally, for the first time, the number of people receiving PUP has dipped below 150,000.
A total of 149,436 people received the Pandemic Unemployment Payment this week – that’s down 2.7%, and a reduction of just over 4,000 people on the previous week’s figure of 153,509.
The county with the most people receiving the payment in the country is still Dublin at 56,900 people, followed by Cork and then Galway.
In County Donegal, the number of people receiving the PUP payment fell by 3.5% week-on-week, with 4,385 people now receiving the payment here – down 165 on last week’s numbers.
