Irish economy grows by 6.3 per cent in second quarter – CSO

The Central Statistics office is reporting today that the Irish economy grew by 6.3 per cent in the second quarter of this year.

The CSO also says the easing of Covid restrictions led to increased activity in many sectors.

Personal spending on goods and services rose by 12.6 per cent.

The construction sector grew by nearly 23 per cent, after it was shut down for the early part of the year.
