Foyle MLA calls for extension of NI High Street Voucher Scheme

A Foyle MLA is urging the North’s Economy Minister to extend the High Street Voucher Scheme.

The scheme which opened to anyone aged 18 and over in the North a number of weeks ago has now closed despite a high volume of people across the region claiming they have yet to receive their £100 voucher.

MLA Padraig Delargy claims almost 700 of his constituents, who received a high street voucher card, were left unable to spend it due to either technical issues with the card – or simply not receiving a card at all.

He says action needs to be taken to facilitate the spending of vouchers by those eligible:
