Families of healthcare workers who died from covid 19 to receive €100,000

The families of healthcare staff who died from Covid 19 are to receive a tax free payment from the state.

Health Minister Stephen Donnelly is to seek approval for the move at today’s cabinet meeting.

Around 22 families will receive the payment of 100 thousand euro each because their relatives died after contracting Covid 19 in their workplaces.
