Council issues warning to dog owners as lambing season starts

Donegal County Council has issued a warning to dog owners to keep them under control during lambing season.

Much concern has been raised in recent weeks particularly in West Donegal over dogs straying into fields and causing distress to sheep with farmers threatening to take matters into their own hands.

The local authority is asking people to not let their dogs off in areas adjoining livestock fields.
