The first pride parade in Donegal is taking place today in Buncrana.
The parade is being organised by Inishowen Pride, with groups and walkers that are joining in the parade being asked to meet at Scoil Mhuire at 2pm, before the parade begins at 3pm heading to Buncrana Main Street.
One of those involved in setting up the parade is Leanne McBrearty – she says that the event has been in the works for months, and that the community response has been huge.
Another one of the Inishowen Pride organisers is Jen McCarron, who says that today is about LGBT people being able to celebrate their authentic selves.
